Questions, corrections and useful problems to cover.

How to write a message that gets acted on

A correction is the most useful kind of message. Give the page address, quote the sentence or step you are questioning, and say what you compared it against: a provider's documentation page, a standard, or a result you reproduced. With those three things the fix is usually obvious and gets made quickly.

Guide suggestions are welcome too. Describe the job you are trying to finish rather than the product you have in mind; the second constrains the answer before the problem is understood. If a tool on this site produced a result you believe is wrong, include the input you used and the browser you used it in, since either can change what comes out.

What this address is not for

ToolVerity is run by one person and is not a support desk for any of the software it writes about. Licence questions, billing problems and outages belong with the provider concerned, which can see your account and this site cannot. Questions about a document you are handling at work should go to whoever owns that document, because the answer depends on facts a public page does not have.

Do not send credentials, payment details, identification numbers or anything confidential through email. Every message is read by a person, usually within a few days.

For a correction, include the page URL and the relevant statement. For a guide suggestion, describe the task you are trying to complete and the tool involved. You do not need to send private documents to explain the problem.

Before you send

This website has no contact form that stores your message. An email link opens your own mail application; you choose whether to send it. Your mail provider and the receiving provider process the message under their own terms.

Do not email passwords, payment details, private recordings or account recovery codes. ToolVerity cannot access, cancel or refund an account with a software company discussed here.
